United United United

Watching Man Utd turn on the style agains Spurs last weekend was a joy. Going 1-0 down so early would have devastated any other team but not United who live by the saying, "It is not over this the Fat Lady Sings". It was a great goal from Defoe i do not say otherwise but i was the sheer class of the champions who tighten up at back and sharpen up in attack which let to Uniteds goals. The first was a two footed challenge by Figouera who was rightly given the yellow card. Giggsy stepped up to take the kick, and my god did he pick a better spot to put it. Beautifully Struct! 1-1 and the game is on. United had a few more goal scoring chances but were unlucky not to finish them as Spurs defended with their lives. Then came the 2nd goal for united. A corner kick by Giggsy which was cleared to the path of Scholes who decided to go for it but again tamely cleared to Anderson who needed no second invitation to shoot. Good Goal! His first for United in Open play in BPL.

Second half started as, Spurs made a change to bring on Jenas for Figouera. A good sub as well as he later seems to have scored the equliser only to be denied by the finger tips of Foster. Crouch came close as well as his header hit the post as Robbie Keane's earlier volley balooned. It was in intense fight by Spurs and United were hanging on and going on an occational counter attack before Scholes got sent off for his second bookable offence, i felt he was harshly done by the refree. Carrick came in for Berbatov to add stability to midfiled and to help out with defending. And then came the killer blow for Spurs when Rooney showed great control, balance and finishing to tuck away the 3rd goal between Cudicini's legs. Great performance from the team. Man Of the Match for me was Wayne Rooney but i do feel a great degree to give it to Fletcher who has been a world class midfielder in the past season till now.

We are facing City next, boy, would i love to end their run!
